If you’re a Mom, then you’ve experienced that hour when breakfast gets made, diapers get changed, sippy cups get filled, lunches get packed, kids get dressed and teeth get brushed. It's that time when your mind works fast but your hands work faster. When feeding one child while searching for socks and packing a lunch is simple and every day. You’ve never gotten so many things done in your life in such a short amount of time. This is called "Mommy Greatness."
Yet when the kids are safely off to school, the babies are playing and the sitter has arrived so you can go to work or get stuff done, that's when you experience the "Mommy Greatness" aftermath. You’ve used so much brain power and energy in that hour that when you finally start your day, you don’t notice the oatmeal in your hair, or that you’re wearing two different shoes. You can’t remember your husband’s name or why you walked into a room. The guy at the grocery store can’t even look at you anymore because you forgot your pants...again.
Let's face it, "Mommy Greatness" is the place where you’re the super mom, but not always the super woman. Here’s to you anyway because you survived and thankfully the guy at the grocery store has an extra pair of pants.
If you’re a Mom and want a little more funny in your life, watch The Mom List Series on Facebook on February 28th @themomlistseries at 12pm. We promise everyone will be wearing pants.
